Merger proposal[edit]

Mixed gonadal dysgenesis is a common name or synonym of 45,X/46,XY mosaicism. Merge to 45,X/46,XY mosaicism and redirect are required. BatteryIncluded (talk) 16:14, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Dodger67: I merged the Draft:45,X/46,XY mosaicism and Mixed gonadal dysgenesis into 45,X/46,XY mosaicism. I also did a small expansion. I think both the draft and 'Mixed gonadal dysgenesis' are ready to be redirected and deleted. Cheers, BatteryIncluded (talk) 17:17, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really correct to merge these pages?[edit]

Here is some info from pubmed:

"the other 10 having a normal 46 XY caryotype." link1
"We present a rare case of a ... who had a normal karyotype" link2
"Mixed gonadal dysgenesis with normal karyotype" link3
"may also have 46XX but missing part of one X chromosome" link4

So, looks like mosaicism is just a very common cause of MGD, but not the only, so, there should be two separated pages, one for mosaicism, one for MGD --HalfOfDwarf (talk) 16:18, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Anomaly instead of disorder?[edit]

Interactions with the SRY gene - Original Research?[edit]

I was searching through C-Class LGBT Studies article and decided to work on this one. While doing some general tidying up, I couldn't find any source for the claim that 45,X/46,XY may result in partial expression of the SRY gene.
